Jacopo Trulla is one of the most promising young talents in Italian rugby. Born in Vicenza, he began his rugby career in the city club, ASD Rugby Vicenza.

When did your career begin?

Jacopo Trulla’s career had a turning point at the age of 14, when he moved to Valsugana, Padua’s second club. With Valsugana, Trulla won the title of Italian Under-16 and Under-18 champion, while attending the FIR Zonal Academy in Treviso, further developing his skills and talent.

Jacopo Trulla’s sporting career is characterized by experiences in various prestigious Italian clubs. After honing his skills in Valsugana and in the FIR “Ivan Francescato” Academy, which plays in the Italian Serie A championship, Trulla was hired by Calvisano in the TOP12 in 2019. Later, he was invited as an added player in the Zebre franchise and the following year he was placed as a permit player.

What have you achieved in your career?

Jacopo Trulla boasts an impressive palmarès, he was a Under-18 national team and was part of the Italy Under-20 group between 2019 and 2020, playing in two Six Nations and the World Cup, playing 12 matches and scoring 6 tries. His growth and talent did not go unnoticed, leading him to be called up to the senior national team by coach Franco Smith. Trulla made his starting debut on 14 November 2020 in the Autumn Nations Cup match against Scotland.
