Tommaso Cassandro – Footballer

Tommaso Cassandro, born in 2000, took his first steps in the world of football within the Bologna youth sector. From a young age he showed promising talent, culminating in the victory of the Viareggio Tournament with the red and blue jersey.
An extremely versatile right-back, Cassandro has shown that he can adapt to different roles within the defensive department, thanks to his defensive ability and his impressive physical skills. His repertoire includes not only defensive solidity, but also dribbling and attacking skills down the wing.
In 2019, his professional career began with a loan to Novara, a club that plays in Serie C, offering him the opportunity to make his debut in professional football.
The transition to the citadel
But it was in 2020 that his career took a significant turn: the permanent transfer to Cittadella. With the Granata shirt, Cassandro continued to stand out for his reliability in defense and, on April 30, 2022, he scored his first goal as a professional, deciding a Serie B match against Brescia.
The following year, his talent did not go unnoticed and Serie A club Lecce decided to acquire him permanently in January 2023. Cassandro signs a three-year contract with an option to renew for another two years, moving for an estimated amount of about 400,000 euros. His debut in the top flight took place on 19 March of the same year, in the match against Fiorentina, although his season with the Salento ended with only one appearance.
The arrival at Como
But Cassandro’s adventure continues unabated: on July 13, 2023, he moved permanently to Como, thus returning to Serie B and facing new challenges and opportunities for growth in his football career.
