The athlete
Fernando Belasteguín, widely known as Bela, began his padel journey in Pehuajó, Argentina, working with coach Roberto Díaz. His professional career began in 1995 and grew from local competition into a remarkable international record.
He spent 16 consecutive years as the world’s number-one player. Earlier in his career, he sold rackets at tournaments to help support his family and fund his competition journey. His story of persistence and long-term commitment is part of FLOKY’s international padel ambassador community.
